05 Supporting Staff

Support within the Epidemiology department includes both support for staff and management and substantive support for staff. The administrative support staff consists of Aukje van der Zee and Merel Beek. Until her departure in mid-2024, Anita Vermue-Gels was also part of this team.

In 2024, Erwin Kort, cluster manager of Epidemiology, also became cluster manager of Health Sciences. As a result, his availability for Epidemiology has been reduced by half. To compensate for this shortfall, Hilde Leuvenink-Wijnia has joined the department to support Erwin in personnel and financial tasks.

Substantive support includes educational support, provided by Noha El-Baz, and guidance in writing grant applications, which has been provided by Sara Moazzen since 2024.
